Practical guidance, transparent assumptions.
HydroPosh is an independent educational publication built to make hydroponics and indoor gardening easier to understand.
What this site covers
HydroPosh focuses on the decisions that change an indoor grow: choosing a system, managing water and nutrients, reading light, selecting plants, and troubleshooting by evidence. The goal is not to make every setup look the same. It is to help a grower choose a workable approach for the room, crop, budget, and time available.
Guides are written for home growers and small indoor systems. They explain the terms and measurements that appear in a typical setup, then connect those ideas to practical checks such as root health, reservoir temperature, pH, EC, airflow, and canopy light.
How we approach a guide
- State the decision first, then explain the measurement or observation that supports it.
- Show units, formulas, assumptions, or worked examples when a calculation is involved.
- Separate a useful starting range from a guarantee. Crops, water sources, equipment, and rooms vary.
- Prefer reversible adjustments and a short observation period over changing several variables at once.
- Link to relevant tools, system guides, and sources so a reader can continue checking the reasoning.
What HydroPosh is not
The site is educational material, not a substitute for a product manual, local rules, laboratory testing, or professional advice. A calculator result is an estimate, and a guide cannot see a reader’s roots, water source, crop stage, or room conditions. Confirm important decisions with appropriate measurements and the instructions for the equipment or nutrients being used.
Start with the growing guides, compare system options, or use the calculators and tools when a measurement needs a quick first estimate.
